The (impossibly) ideal candidate will have experience working in Agile environments and be familiar with best practices such as story slicing, grooming, and sprint planning. They should be comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and have the ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear and concise user stories that can be understood by all stakeholders.

Your responsibilities would be:

  • Work closely with the development team and stakeholders to identify, prioritise and document requirements for Exalate.
  • Collaborate with product owners to ensure that user stories and requirements are clearly defined and properly prioritised.
  • Define and document acceptance criteria for user stories, ensuring that they are testable and measurable.
  • Work with the development team to ensure that user stories are sliced in a way that delivers value to the customer.
  • Participate in sprint planning, grooming, and review sessions to ensure that development work is aligned with business objectives.
  • Take (shared) ownership of (small) project execution and progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
  • Act as a mentor or coach for junior Business Analysts, providing guidance and support to help them improve their Agile capabilities.
  • Continuously work to improve our Agile practices, identifying areas for improvement and driving change to ensure that we are delivering value to our customers as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Our requirements for this position are:

  • At least 3 years of experience working as a Business Analyst in an Agile environment.
  • Proven experience in story slicing, grooming, and sprint planning.
  • Strong technical understanding, with experience working on technical products or software solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear and concise user stories.
  • Experience working with JIRA or other Agile project management tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to act as a mentor or coach for junior Business Analysts.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and a passion for driving change to improve our Agile practices.
